Contour Properties

With this feature... Do this...
Minor | Major Interval For the Minor Interval, type either an integer or decimal value over which to display intervals. The Major Interval must be selected using the drop-down list, and the increments that can be selected are a result of the Minor Interval specified. If the intervals are set too low or too high (<2 or >250), AccuMap notifies you and then adjusts them.
Highlight To show contours at specific elevations, enter a comma-separated list of elevations. An extra contour appears at each listed elevation in the selected color. For example, the following is an acceptable entry in the Highlight lines at these values box: -243.5, -246.5, -249.5 (spaces between commas are optional). You can enter elevations for contours not displayed on the map. For example, if contours appeared every 10 m, you could add a contour at 12 m. These contours are useful for selecting specific elevations.
Thickness | Style | Color Select the line thickness, style (solid, dashed, etc.), and color from the drop-down lists. To change the opacity of a color, click and drag the slider that appears.
Labels Select the increments with which to display labels for measurement intervals. The frequency with which labels can be displayed are a multiple of the Minor Interval set above. For example, if the minor interval is 25, labels can be displayed in increments of 25 (25, 50, 75).
Cutoff Values Select the minimum and maximum values for a range in which contour lines draw.
Fills (No, Solid, Gradient) Select Solid Fill to start and end colors at the major or minor interval line. Select Gradient Fill to blend colors outside of the major and minor interval line. Gradient fills are slower than Solid or Transparent fills -especially when generating a Print Preview. To invert the Start and Stop colors on the palette, click Reverse Palette.
Start | Stop Set the min max parameters within which to contour. Readings that fall outside of this range are ignored. This option is enabled when the Auto range based on data check box is cleared.
Auto range based on data Allow the min max parameters to be based on the smallest and largest values in the actual data upon which you're contouring. This option preempts the Start Stop option described above.
Transparency Drag the slider to the right to reduce the opacity of the solid or gradient fill.
Palette Select the colour palette with which to colour fills. Select an initial palette to modify, and then save that palette with a unique name so that it's available in future AccuMap sessions. The file name of the palette is prefixed by U- in the Palette drop-down list to indicate it is a user-generated file.
